Why Scarborough parents pick Gamers Getaway
More than a thousand GTA parties in, we know what makes a game truck party work: a Game Coach who keeps the rotation fair, games that suit the age group, and a setup that doesn't take over your house. You might hear it called a game truck, a gaming truck or a video game bus; in Scarborough it's the same trailer and the same crew.

Big group parties in Scarborough
Some birthdays are big ones: the whole class, the cousins, and the neighbours' kids too. A game truck handles that better than most venues because nobody has to be turned away at the door. Fifteen play at once, and the Game Coach runs a rotation so a group of twenty or thirty all get proper turns on the screens while the rest grab food.
For a big guest list, the 3-hour package is the one to pick. It gives the rotation enough time that nobody spends the party waiting.

Scarborough neighbourhoods we cover
We bring the truck anywhere in Scarborough at the same flat travel rate, from Birch Cliff and the Bluffs up through Wexford and Agincourt to Malvern, Rouge and Morningside Heights. Driveways in Highland Creek, West Hill and Morningside Heights take the trailer easily; the older streets in Birch Cliff and Cliffside, and townhouse complexes in Malvern and Agincourt can be tighter, in which case we park curbside. That covers every Scarborough postal code, from M1B to M1X.
Schools, parks and community events in Scarborough
We bring the truck to school fun fairs and PA days for the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Community and camp days at spots like Thomson Memorial Park, Guild Park and Gardens and Morningside Park work well too; the City of Toronto handles vehicle access in its parks, so check that first. How a Scarborough party runs
- Pick your date online. The calendar only shows open times, and you'll see the full price, travel included, before paying.
- The truck pulls up early. We park, level the trailer and have the games running before your first guest arrives.
- Kids play, the Game Coach runs it. Teams, turns and game picks are handled, so you can look after the cake and the parents.
- We leave nothing behind. When time's up we pack away and drive off; there's no clean-up on your side.
Game truck vs. a Scarborough party venue
Most Scarborough parents weigh a game truck against a trampoline park, bowling or an indoor playground. Here's the difference in practice.
| Video game truck | Party venue | |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Your driveway or street | Everyone drives there |
| Start time | Any open slot you pick | The venue's schedule |
| Weather | Climate-controlled, rain or shine | Fine indoors |
| Clean-up | None, we pack up and leave | Depends on the venue |
Questions Scarborough parents ask us
How much does a game truck cost in Scarborough?
Packages start at $429 for 90 minutes, $479 for two hours and $629 for three, plus a flat travel charge to Scarborough and HST. The travel rate is the same wherever you are in town. The exact total for your date, travel included, shows on the booking page before you pay anything.
Will the truck fit in a Scarborough driveway?
Almost always. We need about 30 to 32 feet, roughly three car lengths, on a reasonably flat surface. Most driveways in Highland Creek, West Hill and Morningside Heights take it comfortably. The older streets in Birch Cliff and Cliffside, and townhouse complexes in Malvern and Agincourt can be tighter, in which case we park curbside instead. Send us a photo of the spot beforehand if you're unsure and we'll confirm.
How many kids can come to a game truck party?
Fifteen can play at the same time. For a bigger group, the Game Coach rotates players in and out, so twenty or thirty guests works fine, especially with the 3-hour package. Ten to twelve at once is the sweet spot for a regular birthday.
Can you come to a Scarborough school, park or community centre?
Yes, and we do a lot of them: fun fairs, PA days, graduations and camp activity days for schools in the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board. For a Scarborough park or community centre, such as Thomson Memorial Park, Guild Park and Gardens or Morningside Park, check with the City of Toronto about vehicle access first; for a school, the principal or board facilities office can approve the spot. We provide insurance certificates on request. We bring our own power, so a field with no outlet is not a problem. See our school events page for how school bookings work.
Can a game truck party go ahead in bad weather?
Yes. The gaming happens inside a heated and air-conditioned trailer, so a rainy afternoon, a heat wave or a January birthday all run the same way. Keep a towel by the door for wet shoes and you're set.
Do I need to provide power or Wi-Fi?
No. The truck runs on its own power and brings its own internet, so you don't need an outlet, an extension cord or your Wi-Fi password.
How far ahead should I book in Scarborough?
Weekend afternoons from April to October go first, so aim for three to four weeks ahead for those. Weeknights and the winter months are easier, often with a week's notice. The booking calendar only shows open slots, so you'll see straight away what's still free.
What ages is a game truck party good for?
Six to sixteen is the sweet spot, and most Scarborough birthdays we run are eight to thirteen. Younger groups do fine because the Game Coach picks simpler titles like Mario Kart, Minecraft and Just Dance and keeps the rotation moving. We also run adult and corporate bookings, where the sports and retro games get the most play.
What are some good birthday party ideas in Scarborough?
The usual options are trampoline parks, indoor playgrounds, bowling and booking a room at a Scarborough community centre. They work, but you're on the venue's clock, you have to get everyone there, and you're often cleaning up afterwards. A video game truck comes to your address instead, so there's no venue to book, no driving and nothing to tidy when it leaves. For more, see our birthday ideas by age.
Do you serve the rest of Toronto?
We do. Downtown, midtown, East York, North York and Etobicoke are all regular stops; see our Toronto page for the full area. Pick your area on the booking form and the travel fee is worked out for you.
