The most popular winter birthday party ideas for kids in Toronto are indoor parties at home (a video game truck, an indoor snowball fight, a hot chocolate bar or a pyjama movie party), hosted indoor venues like trampoline parks, climbing gyms and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, and outdoor fun like a skating party at a City rink or tobogganing on one of the City's designated hills.
Good indoor ideas include an indoor snowball fight with soft snowballs, a hot chocolate bar, snowflake cookie decorating, a cardboard igloo build, an indoor Winter Olympics, a glow party and a video game party. Out of the house, try a trampoline park, climbing gym, go-karts, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre or Ripley's Aquarium.
January is Toronto's coldest month. At Toronto Pearson, the average daily high is about -1 °C and the average low about -9 °C, with about 31 cm of snow over the month (Environment Canada 1991 to 2020 normals). Plan outdoor activities for 30 to 60 minutes and have a warm indoor space ready.
